Film Culture Lottery Fund opens for application

Creative England’s Film Culture Lottery Fund opens for applications today with a total of £700,000 available for cinema projects in the English regions.

The fund will increase opportunities for audiences to access and enjoy a broad range of film – specialised, mainstream and archive – across England.

It is the last time Creative England will be handling the awards as a BFI delegated body for the distribution of National Lottery funds for film culture outside London, as the responsibility for this strand of funding is shortly to transfer to the BFI, as set out in its Film Forever plan earlier this month. The review is part of a wider strategic refocus which will see and enhanced role for Creative England in terms of talent and business development.
