In recognition of the centenary of the first soldiers arriving at the Bath War Hospital; Art at the Heart wishes to build upon its tradition of working in partnership with local communities to create a lasting legacy of this important time in the hospital’s heritage.

Traces of the original Bath War Hospital have now disappeared; there are few people in the local community aware of the significant role played by the Bath War Hospital in the care and rehabilitation of soldiers during WW1. We would like to change this, and will hopefully do so, with the help of the local community this summer.

Please do get in touch if you have any memorabilia relating to the Bath War Hospital. Sample items include: photographs, slides, film, postcards, correspondence, scrapbooks, newspaper articles; programs, pins; publications such as catalogues, directories, handbooks, newsletters, flyers, booklets, posters and booklets.

One of the best parts about remembering an anniversary is sharing memories with each other, and we would love to hear yours. Please get in touch via 01225 825558 or email our Arts Programme Manager Hetty Dupays on
